Lee Aaron Tour 2009

I'll be going out sporadically with Lee Aaron spring and summer 2009 doing some of her "rock" stuff at some classic rock festivals and casinos across the country. The first time we did this was the Rock the Fort Festival in Thunder Bay June 16th 2006, a double bill with Heart. The show was a huge success with Lee and the band sounding great. The turnout was intense as well with over 40,000 tickets sold. Since then, we've been shows all around the country. This has been a lot of fun and more memories are created each trip: tequila with Sammy Hagar, chilling out with Nancy Wilson and talking about her husband Cameron Crowe, Tilden's alter ego Fletcher Lockwood, the punters, etc. And of course you all can check out Lee's site at http://www.leeaaron.com

Marathons and Stuff
I ran my third marathon last year in Vancouver. Still trying to qualify for Boston. I haven't decided yet what the next one is going to be, but after my birthday, I enter a new Boston qualifying age range of 3:15. My best time is 3:22 and I'd kind of like to do 3:10 before the switchover. For no other reason than to say "in your face" to my brother whose first qualifying time was 3:14. Soulstream Gets Fired from Republic
On Oct 29 and 30th 2007 Soulstream celebrated it's 10 year anniversary of their residence at Yaletown's Bar None. We have played every Monday and Tuesday for 10 years! A few years ago, members of the VSO helped us out by playing strings along side the band. For the 10 year, CBC were there taping it for broadcast. You can listen to it here:

As of February 2008, Soulstream made the move to another DHM club, Republic, in the Granville Entertainment District. We scaled down to only Mondays, until finally after 12 years, the club canned us. Sadly and confusingly, we didn't have a chance to have a final blow out evening for our fans. Perhaps, we'll still put something together. The band will still live on and our next public performance will be Canada Day both at Canada Place 11:30am and Robson Street 2 - 6pm. Please join our Facebook group here for updates:

Musicals and Stuff!!!
Between Nov 3 and 15 2009, I will returning to my duty as guitarist with Uncle Randy Productions in their production of High School Musical 2 at the The Centennial Theater in North Van. My good friends Randall Stoll, Courtenay Ennis, and Cory Curtis are also involved in the pit and as usual, Tess will be bossing all of us around. This will also mark my 14,001st show with URP and I'm looking forward to it as always.

Also, July 27 - 30 I'll be in Victoria for Little Lamb Artist Group's production of the Who's Tommy. We ran this intially on Saltspring Island and it kicked so much ass that we're remounting it. See it, feel it, touch it...
